On Saturday, the annual TEDxRyersonU event was held at the Royal Ontario Museum.
The event opened with a talk from third-year Ryerson sociology student Gizelle Lao. CamMi Pham, a Ryerson Fashion Zone advisor and a senior digital media strategist from KwinMedia, also presented.
Other guest speakers included 22-year-old spoken word artist and youth advocate Patrick de Belen and Ryerson professional communication assistant professor Frauke Zeller.
Zeller, who is part of the team which has created travelling robot hitchBOT, spoke about trust and technology.
Kevin Shaw, a legally blind graduate of Ryerson’s radio and television arts program, discussed his firm Zagga Entertainment, which has been described as “Netflix for the blind.”
