Pick: The Forger
Directed by: Philip Martin
Showtimes: 12:45 p.m at the Scotiabank Theatre

When an art forger (John Travolta) arranges to be released nine months early from prison to spend time with his sick son (Tye Sheridan), he doesn’t expect to be roped into taking part in a museum heist for the ages. The art forger is ultimately put in a situation where he has to balance this high stake heist while trying to meet the dying wishes of his son. Christopher Plummer and Abigail Spencer also star in the thriller.

Why we chose The Forger: It’s been a while since we’ve seen John Travolta on our screens, giving us all the more reason to check out this seemingly action-packed film. This dramatic thriller seems fast-paced, enthralling, and hear wrenching all at the same time, so we have a good feeling that this film will be do a good job at keeping us on our toes. Not to mention, it’s always nice to see Captain Von Trapp on the big screen. Ultimately, this intriguing premise makes for a fast-paced film that will please different audiences.
